Acceptable Use Policy
Redoubt Systems provides private communications infrastructure. We respect your privacy and do not monitor the content of your communications. However, we require all customers to use our service lawfully and responsibly.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use Redoubt Systems to:
- Engage in or facilitate illegal activity under Icelandic, US, or applicable international law
- Distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content exploiting minors
- Conduct harassment, stalking, or credible threats of violence
- Distribute malware, conduct phishing, or engage in technical attacks against other systems
- Violate others' intellectual property rights through piracy or unauthorized distribution
- Engage in spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or platform abuse
- Resell or redistribute access to your instance without authorization
Enforcement
Because we use end-to-end encryption, we cannot proactively monitor content. We will investigate credible reports of policy violations and cooperate with law enforcement when legally required.
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of service without refund.
Legal Requests
We will comply with valid legal requests from Icelandic authorities. Due to end-to-end encryption, we cannot provide access to message content—only metadata such as account information, IP logs, and connection timestamps where technically available and legally required.
We will notify customers of legal requests unless prohibited by law or court order.
Reporting Violations
If you believe a customer is violating this policy, contact us at abuse@redoubt.systems with specific details.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as needed. Customers will be notified of material changes via email.
